About museum
On the western side of Alushta, in the Professor's Corner, on Eagle Mountain, at an elevation of 100 meters above sea level, is the museum of the distinguished writer, academician and Doctor of Philological Sciences Sergey Nikolaevich Sergeev-Tsensky. In 1962, in the house where he lived for more than half a century, a literary and memorial museum was established, which features two sections: literary and memorial. The literary section presents information about the life and work of S. N. Sergeev-Tsensky, while the memorial section is the house with its furnishings, a unique library and an archive left by the writer. In addition, visitors can see photographs, awards, valuable applied-art exhibits and paintings by well-known artists. An integral part of S. N. Sergeev-Tsensky's estate is the memorial park with pyramidal cypresses, an almond grove and fruit trees, as well as a monument at the writer's grave.
