"Night of Museums" 2023

Today the annual "Night of Museums" 2023 will take place
(20.05.2023-21.05.2023)

This year the "Night of Museums" event is dedicated to the theme "History and Stories".
Most museums start their programs at 18:00, but it's better to check the event times on the website of the museum you plan to visit. We have put together a short guide to the event in cities across Russia:

MOSCOW
In Moscow the S. V. Obraztsov Puppet Theatre Museum, the House of Books on Arbat, the Pushkin Museum, the New Tretyakov Gallery, as well as the Kremlin Lecture Hall, will be open.

SAINT PETERSBURG
In Saint Petersburg the towers and dungeons of Gatchina Palace, the Museum of the Railways of Russia, the Anna Akhmatova Museum, the Shostakovich Philharmonia, the Stroganov and Sheremetev Palaces, the Lenfilm film studio and the State Museum-Reserve Tsarskoye Selo are open to visitors.

NOVOSIBIRSK
At the youth center "Zodiac" there will be a Harry Potter night, which will last until 6 a.m. The program includes a potion-making masterclass and a themed quiz on knowledge of the Potterverse. In the museum park "Gallery of Time" there will be drum shows, science experiments, fire shows and much more.

NIZHNY NOVGOROD
Open for visiting are the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin, "Kashirin's House", Gorky's apartment-museum, the Museum of Russian Photography, the children's technopark "Quantorium", the museum of entertaining sciences "Quarks", as well as the fashion and chocolate museums. In the house of merchant's wife T.I. Ryabina there will be an exhibition "City Manor". The program includes studying grammar from pre-revolutionary books and "mobile gentleman's games" for children — croquet and blindman's buff.

YEKATERINBURG
Near the water tower on Plotinka there will be a collection of messages for a "time capsule", and a poetry evening by the "STIKHI PRO" community will also take place there. Open to visitors are: the Anti-Museum of Computers and Video Games, the Institute of Electrophysics, and the film equipment complex of the old cinema hall of the regional hospital.
