Strukovsky Garden
About museum
Strukovsky Garden is the oldest park in the city, intended for quiet walks and featuring a minimal number of attractions. Previously, a forested area stood here that belonged to G. N. Strukov, an Actual State Councillor who managed the Iletsk salt works. He built an estate here and laid out a garden that has wide, straight main alleys, well-kept slopes, equipped staircases, and traditional flower beds. There are also small architectural features: fountains, gazebos, grottos, garden furniture, arbors and pavilions, as well as a covered summer cinema-concert hall. A renovation of the park was planned for 2017. All these qualities make Strukovsky Garden an exceptional cultural site.
