The Museum of Automotive Antiquities was opened in Vladivostok in 2002 and became the country’s first cultural institution dedicated to motor transport. This unique place was created
thanks to the joint efforts of the Club of Vintage Automotive Enthusiasts, the company “Gamma Limited” and the Primorsky State Museum named after V.K. Arsenyev. The collection of Soviet cars and motorcycles was assembled and restored by enthusiasts and professionals who love the aesthetics of retro cars.

The museum is located on Sakhalinskaya Street in a renovated building built in 1939 and is divided into two parts. The first part of the museum consists of six halls with a total area of 1000
m². The second part of the museum occupies 800 m². It displays a collection of trucks and motorcycles. In the museum you can see passenger cars from the 1950s — Soviet cars, as well as captured German and Japanese motorcycles, and vehicles from the period of the Great Patriotic War (World War II).

Here you can encounter popular and rare models of "Zhiguli", "Moskvich", government and civilian "Volga" and other magnificent examples of Soviet car manufacturing. Adults can feel nostalgic for the USSR era and remember how the roads and courtyards of their childhood looked, while young visitors get acquainted with Soviet motor transport. Visitors are free to walk through the halls, photograph exhibits and even sit inside the cars!

The museum’s exhibition tells the story of the development of Russian car manufacturing and the automobile industry from the 1920s to the 1980s. The museum’s collection is closely intertwined with the country’s history. Military equipment demonstrates the technological achievements of the World War II period, while civilian cars and motorcycles speak to the everyday life of previous generations. In addition, the museum often serves as a venue for industrial and diploma internships for students. The Museum of Automotive Antiquities is a unique cultural site of the city and is included in Vladivostok’s tourist infrastructure.
