Zubtsov Local History Museum
About museum
Zubtsov Local History Museum, located in the historic centre of the ancient town at the confluence of the Volga and Vazuza rivers, was opened in 1988 and is housed in a 19th-century architectural monument. In three halls the museum presents an exhibition dedicated to the history of the Zubtsov region from the time of its settlement to the mid-20th century. It was created with the help of leading researchers and artists from the Tver State United Museum, from which the Zubtsov Local History Museum originated. The exhibition begins with the nature of the Zubtsov region, followed by archaeological finds from the Mesolithic to the Early Rus' period.
