Zarinsky Intersettlement Local History Museum

About museum

In the 1960s, under the leadership of Makar Mironovich Tokarev, a participant in three wars, collections of materials on military events were organized. Also, a club "Krasnye Sledopyty" was opened at the Sorokinskaya Secondary School, which collected material for the museum. In 1978 a building at 4 K. Marx Street, formerly owned by merchant Karpov, was allocated for the museum. In 2002 the museum was moved to the building at 25 Lenina Street. Among the public, the exhibitions "Life of the Peasants of the Prichumyshye", "Soldiers of the Sorokinsk Region" and the "Soviet Period History Hall" are especially popular.
