Exhibition Hall "Old Water Tower"
About museum
In 2014 a restoration was carried out on the two-story historic building located on the grounds of the Sviyazhsk Island-Fortress Museum-Reserve. It was a water tower that until the late 1990s had been part of the city's hydraulic engineering system. The first floor was built of stone, and the second of sturdy timber. Historians believe the tower was built at the end of the 19th century. At the time of the restoration only ruins remained, but thanks to collective efforts it was rebuilt. Today the tower's rooms host temporary exhibitions.
