About museum

In 1992, to support the traditional cultures and languages of the peoples of the Republic of Karelia, the Republican Institution 'Center for National Cultures and Folk Art of the Republic of Karelia' was established. In 2010, after restructuring, the institution received a new name, and in 2012 it was converted into a budgetary institution. The Center's task is to support the development of the cultures and languages of the peoples living in the territory of Karelia.
