Exhibition Hall of the Children's Art School of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk

In 1966 the first art school in the Sakhalin Region was opened in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, founded by graduates of the Moscow Pedagogical Institute's Department of Fine and Graphic Arts, Yuri Viktorovich Stepanov and Nadezhda Ivanovna Stepanova. From 1968 Nadezhda Ivanovna led the school and served as its director for more than 20 years. The school's exhibition hall became a well-known venue for students' year-end exhibitions, as well as for the annual exhibitions of Honored Artists of Russia and the Union of Artists of Russia.
