About museum

The museum offers visitors guided tours and thematic lectures in four exhibition halls. The first hall presents the history of the museum's founding, its collection, and the development of the town. The second hall houses a collection of animals and birds, as well as archaeological items dating from various historical periods. In the third hall visitors learn about the life of peasants at the end of the 19th - beginning of the 20th century, view a Russian izba (peasant house), and see traditional household items. The fourth hall features the exhibition "The Departing 20th Century" with elements of the Great Patriotic War and a collection of stones and minerals gathered by the museum's founder Vasily Yakovlevich Marusin.
