In 2010, on the 150th anniversary of A. P. Chekhov's birth, the South-Russian Scientific and Cultural Center was established with the aim of promoting his legacy and the historical and cultural monuments of Taganrog and the Rostov Region. The center hosts scientific conferences, seminars, creative meetings, literary and musical evenings, plays and concerts. As part of the center's exhibition projects, interactive museum lessons, master classes and creative tasks are held, which children complete immediately after viewing the displays. The South-Russian A. P. Chekhov Scientific and Cultural Center is part of the Taganrog State Literary and Historical-Architectural Museum-Reserve.
