About museum
The I. V. Tsvetaev Educational Art Museum was opened on June 30, 1997, and is a branch of the A. S. Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts as well as part of the Museum Center of the Russian State University for the Humanities. Here you can see more than 750 casts and copies of works of art from Ancient Egypt and the Near East, Ancient Greece, Rome, and European Medieval and Renaissance periods, which are kept in museums in Paris, London, Berlin, Cairo, Saint Petersburg and other European cities. The museum's halls are arranged chronologically and present the main stages of the development of world art from antiquity to the 16th century. In addition, the museum offers audio guides, panoramic images and multimedia presentations to help visitors better understand the art.
