The V. P. Sukachyov Estate is one of the most important monuments of history and culture of the Irkutsk Region. The V. P. Sukachyov Estate is a monument of history and culture of federal significance that in the 19th century belonged to the well-known public figure Vladimir Platonovich Sukachyov. He was the city mayor, a patron and the founder of the picture gallery that gave rise to the Irkutsk Art Museum. Today it is a unique architectural and park complex, which includes the gallery building, a servants' house, service buildings with a stable, a guest wing, a gazebo on a mound and a park. The central house houses a permanent exhibition dedicated to the history and daily life of the Sukachyov family. Also on display are items of the period, antique furniture, paintings and porcelain. Temporary exhibitions are held in other buildings, including ones dedicated to the history of Siberian porcelain. The V. P. Sukachyov Estate is one of the main monuments of the history and culture of the Irkutsk Region.
