Yurginsky Local History Museum
About museum
On May 9, 1985, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Victory, a Local History Museum was opened in the village of Yurginskoye, founded by Anatoly Yakovlevich Bykov. He began his activity in the house of merchant Kuznetsov, built in the early 20th century, and later moved to the building of the former parish school, built in the late 19th century. In 2009 the museum moved to the District Palace of Culture. Today its collections comprise almost 5,800 exhibits, including rare ethnographic objects, documents, photographs, antique books and items of Russian everyday life.
