About museum

A local history museum was established at the Tim Secondary School on the initiative of teacher M. L. Smotrov. It contains about 2,000 exhibits representing the history of the Tim region from the late 18th century to the present day. A special chapter in its history is the bloody battles of the Great Patriotic War, during which Tim changed hands several times. The exhibition includes materials documenting these events. In addition, the museum presents interesting facts about the lives and work of the writers A. Govorov and Yu. Ubogoy, and the scientists N. Emanuel and N. Alexandrov. About 1,500 visitors come to the museum annually.
