The Suzun Local History Museum, opened on November 19, 1967, is one of the oldest museums in Novosibirsk Oblast. In 1980 the museum was awarded the honorary title "People's Museum." Between 2011 and 2015 a museum and tourist complex, "Zavod-Suzun. Mint," was created on the basis of the local history museum. In 2016 the museum was renamed the Suzun Local History Museum "Center of Historical Information." In 2020 a new exhibition, "Time. Events. People," and an exhibition hall were opened, hosting various themed exhibitions. The museum's collection totals 19,819 items, comprising 15 collections, including a unique numismatic collection with coins from the Suzun Mint (1766–1847). In addition, the Suzun Local History Museum conducts genealogical research and has established a genealogical laboratory with an electronic reading room of the Presidential Library.
