Slavgorod City Local History Museum
About museum
The museum was founded in 1958 on the second floor of the House of Culture. In 1978 it was moved to the building of the trading house of merchant Selyutin. The initiator of the museum's opening was the secretary of the City Committee of the CPSU, Vladimir Andrianovich Lobach. The museum's exhibitions consist of household items, clothing of settlers from Ukraine and Central Russia, Tula samovars, photographic equipment, documents, awards of Slavgorod residents and participants of the Great Patriotic War, and stuffed animals native to Altai Krai. The museum also houses works by local artists. Since 2007 the museum has been a municipal cultural institution. The museum offers visitors interesting exhibitions and educational programs.
