Sculptural complex 'Center of Asia'
About museum
In 2014, in Kyzyl, on the occasion of Tuva's 100th anniversary in Russia, the embankment was reconstructed and a new monument, 'Center of Asia', was erected. This sculptural complex consists of two compositions that incorporate motifs of Scythian art, as well as replicas of archaeological artifacts from the Arzhaan-2 kurgan. The author of this project is Buryat sculptor Dashi Namdakov, who worked together with Tuvan artists. The obelisk features motifs of ancient cultures, and the main element is a scroll on which 'Center of Asia' is written in three languages.
