Sargatsky Historical and Local Lore Museum
About museum
On July 28, 2006 the Sargatsky Historical and Local Lore Museum was opened, dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The museum's main goal is to collect all historical materials and documents available in the district, as well as to educate young people in the spirit of patriotism and historical traditions. The museum is housed in a three-story building with five exhibitions devoted to various aspects of the district's history and culture. Here visitors can learn about household life of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the Sargatsky District during the Civil War, the nature of the native land and the arts hall. The museum has become one of the main places of remembrance and celebration of the Victory.
