Sapozhkovsky Local History Museum is a true keeper of the history and culture of the Sapozhkovsky region. It was founded in 1988 and is located in the city center on Sovetskaya Street. The museum's collections include almost 5,000 items, of which 3,615 are part of the main collection. Here you can see works of Old Russian art, a colorful Sapozhkov folk costume, zaklady, and examples of folk crafts. The archaeological collections cover the period from the 10th millennium BC and help to better understand the history of the region's development. The museum offers off-site excursions, museum classes, and festive events. It preserves, exhibits, and promotes its collections, helping people become acquainted with the history and culture of their region.
