Sanchursky Historical Museum
About museum
Sanchursky Historical Museum was founded in November 1967. It presents the history of the town from 1584 to the present day. The exhibition is arranged across four halls: the Historical Hall, the Hall of Military Glory, the Hall of Folk Art, and the Hall of Honorary Citizens. The museum building was constructed in the second half of the 19th century. The museum's collection comprises more than 9,000 exhibits. Visitors can attend interactive and traveling exhibitions, museum lessons, holiday programs, and exhibitions of folk crafts and decorative-applied arts. For students of district educational institutions, events on civic-patriotic education are held, as well as meetings with notable residents and veterans of war and labor. The museum actively participates in the Interregional Festival of Vyatka–Mari Friendship "My Small Homeland".
