About museum
The Kirov District Museum named after V. M. Malaev was founded at the initiative of the community as a museum of military and labor glory on May 18, 1985, to mark the 40th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. In 2003 a commemorative plaque was installed and the museum was named in honor of Vladislav Mikhailovich Malaev, first secretary of the district committee of the CPSU and the author of the project to create the museum, who made a huge contribution to the district's socio-economic and cultural development. The museum's halls display various exhibitions, ranging from artifacts found at ancient settlement sites and household items, clothing, photographs and documents recounting the first settlers, to photographs, documents, weapons, letters and personal belongings of fellow countrymen, as well as stuffed birds and animals, about 200 different mineral specimens, root-carving works and sculptures.
