Natural, Architectural and Archaeological Museum-Reserve 'Divnogorye'
About museum
The territory of the Divnogorye museum-reserve contains monuments of regional and federal significance: archaeological sites of the 9th–10th centuries, kurgan groups and Bronze Age settlements of the 2nd millennium BC, Upper Paleolithic campsites, chalk cave churches of the mid-17th century, the cave church 'Divnogorskaya-3' of the mid-19th century, chalk pillars 'Divy', unique landscape formations, relict vegetation, and endemic insects. The men's Holy Dormition Divnogorsky Monastery also operates here. The main activities of the museum-reserve include collecting, storing and registering museum objects and collections; excursion and tourist activities; scientific research; cultural project work; information and advertising; exhibition and display activities; and publishing. All these monuments and resources make it possible to comprehensively present the historical and natural landscape within a small area.
