About museum
On December 9, 1994, a local history museum was opened in the Pervomaysky District. Its driving force and first director was Evgeniya Kirillovna Shamparova. Currently the museum's collections include over 9,000 items. The museum has nine permanent exhibitions: dedicated to E. K. Shamparova, archaeology, paleontology, the local region, church antiquities, numismatics, rocks and minerals, military glory, and a Siberian izba (traditional log house). In addition, temporary exhibitions are refreshed two to three times each quarter. The museum hosts themed lectures, guided tours, educational programs, master classes, and public events. Since 2013, a bus tour of the historical sites and attractions of the Pyshkino-Troitsky District has been available.
