Cherepovets 200th Anniversary Park
About museum
1977 was a special year for Cherepovets. That year the city celebrated its 200th anniversary. The celebrations had already begun in 1975, and for the anniversary it was decided to create a city park along Lednev Street. However, this decision caused problems. Next to the planned park site there was a silicate brick factory, and its director planned to expand production. In the end, the park was laid out, but the production expansion was not carried out. The park was named in honor of Cherepovets’ 200th anniversary, and it remains popular with residents of the Zarechensky district to this day. In the center of the park is a circular square surrounded by benches. Children enjoy rides in electric cars and bicycles, visit the attractions and a small petting zoo. Entertainment events and activities are also held in the park.
