Department of Local History (Museum)
About museum
Since October 15, 1979, the Gryazinsky Local History Museum has been part of the country's state museums. However, in 2008 the museum's operations were suspended, and in May 2009 it was reorganized into the Department of Local History and Comprehensive Inspection of Collections. The museum later resumed work and provides visitors access to its exhibitions. As of January 1, 2017, the number of items in the main and scientific-supporting collections amounted to 6,536 units. Additional premises allow for traveling exhibitions, which are in high demand, as well as virtual tours. The territory of the Gryazinsky District has sufficient tourist resources to become part of the Lipetsk Region's tourist map. Currently eight tourist routes are in operation.
