On May 6, 1995, the Orichevsky Local History Museum was opened, based on the school's museum of revolutionary, military and labor glory. It displays exhibits and materials that acquaint visitors with the history of Orichevsky District and the people who made it known. The museum's collection comprises more than 7,000 items, including paintings by the Ponomaryovs, items made from kapok root, and the Lenin–Stalin banner. The exhibition is dedicated to Viktor Savinykh, the actress Lyubov Ivanovna Bazhina, and other figures. Annually the museum receives over 8,000 visitors, holds more than 300 events and 500 tours. Visitors can also take part in play-based and educational activities, master classes, and attend the annual interregional festival "Istobensky Cucumber".
