The Necropolis of Masters of Art is a unique collection of memorial artworks located on the grounds of the former Tikhvin Cemetery of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra, which has existed since 1823. It preserves monuments to prominent Russian writers, composers, painters, sculptors, performers, archaeologists, and critics. On the necropolis grounds there is an Exhibition Hall presenting the permanent exhibition 'Monumental Sculpture of Saint Petersburg', and temporary exhibitions of graphic and sculptural works are also held there. Since 2017, the Necropolis has offered interactive programs that allow visitors to view St. Petersburg monuments independently. The hall hosts engaging lectures and practical workshops on history and art. The Necropolis of Masters of Art is a unique place that attracts many visitors.
