About museum
The National Ethnographic Museum of the village of Kondon was established in 1960 by the decision of the board of the kolkhoz "Sikau Pokto" and in 1997 was transferred to the cultural administration of the Solnechny municipal district. In 2005 the museum became part of the Municipal Cultural Institution "Solnechny Intersettlement Local History Cultural and Ethnographic Center." It is located in the Akim Samar General Education School and has 316 items in its collection, including archaeological, ethnographic and artistic materials, as well as taxidermied specimens of Amur wildlife. In the village of Kondon there is an open-air museum called "Living Legend," which features a large model of an ancient dwelling and a barn. The Local History Museum of the Solnechny municipal district and the National Ethnographic Museum of the village of Kondon have been included in the Register of Museums of Khabarovsk Krai under numbers 40 and 41, respectively, since September 15, 2010.
