Museum Complex of the Military Glory of Omsk Citizens
About museum
In 1985 the Museum Complex of the Military Glory of Omsk Citizens was opened in Omsk. The main exhibition, titled 'Forever in Memory', is devoted to the Great Patriotic War and presents the battles for Moscow, Stalingrad, the Battle of Kursk and the Siege of Leningrad. The museum displays photographs, documents, personal belongings and awards of Omsk military units, and also exhibits examples of weaponry: machine guns, submachine guns, rifles, grenades, mines, aerial bombs and heavy military equipment — guns, mortars, howitzers, tanks, and the 'Katyusha' multiple rocket launcher. The museum also contains the memorial hall of Hero of the Soviet Union D. M. Karbyshev. All this makes a visit to the museum unforgettable and inspiring.
