Museum of the Dulevo Porcelain Factory
About museum
In November 2014, after reconstruction, a new modern museum of the Dulevo Porcelain Factory was opened, unique in the entire Moscow region. By studying Dulevo porcelain, one can trace the whole history of Russia. The exhibition is presented in three halls: the historical hall, the artists' hall, and the large hall. The collection includes exhibits dating from the 19th–21st centuries and telling the almost 200-year history of the enterprise. The historical hall houses documents and artifacts, while the artists' hall displays works by painters and sculptors who worked at the factory and continue to work there today. The large hall features items in various styles and artistic directions, as well as sculptures of princesses and firebirds, exotic animals, and other characters from Russian fairy tales. The oldest exhibit dates from the mid-19th century. The enterprise offers guided tours during which visitors can not only view the exhibits but also learn about the production process and try their hand at a porcelain painting master class.
