About museum

At the heart of the Severskaya Blast Furnace Museum Complex is the blast furnace — the only mid-19th-century masterpiece of Ural industrial architecture in Europe that is highly preserved and provides a complete picture of the pig iron smelting process of the century before last.

The museum occupies an area of 8,000 sq.m. and includes:
- two historic buildings
- an open-air exhibition
- the Spaso-Preobrazhenskaya Chapel
