The Museum-Reserve 'Breakthrough of the Siege of Leningrad' is located in the southern Priladozhye on the sites of fierce battles for Leningrad in the Great Patriotic War. The main exhibit of the museum is a diorama dedicated to the breaking of the Siege of Leningrad in 1943, located on the ramp of the Ladoga bridge near the village of Maryino in the Kirovsky District of the Leningrad Region. It was opened on May 7, 1985 and remains the only museum of its kind in the Northwest. The diorama was created by Leningrad artists, war veterans and participants in the Leningrad epic. In addition to the diorama museum, the reserve includes the 'Nevsky Pyatachok' memorial complex, the Sinyavino Heights and the site of the siege breakthrough. Themed tours and events are also available by prior arrangement.
