Museum 'In the World of Fairy Tales'
About museum
All of them attract attention and recall another, long-gone time. The Children's Museum 'In the World of Fairy Tales' was opened in December 1992 and invites adults and children into a world of memories and play. To ensure that a child could follow the museum's main rule — 'do not touch the exhibits' — the museum staff made great efforts to create toys from scraps, clay whistles and other items. The museum displays the best exhibits from the collection of the Smolensk State Museum-Reserve: a silver horn, an embroidered towel, a painted chest from 1839, sledges from the Vologda Governorate, etc. The museum also has a large selection of folk toys — Dymkovo, Filimonovo, and Bogorodsk. Visitors to the museum can feel the atmosphere of a long-gone era.
