In 2014, the world's first chess museum was opened in the M. Botvinnik Central House of the Chess Player. It houses a unique collection of almost 500 exhibits, including historic chess sets, trophy cups, paintings, graphic art, documents, prizes and personal belongings of famous chess players, as well as the table from the legendary Karpov–Kasparov match. Visits can be arranged by prior appointment on Tuesday at 14:00 and on Thursday at 14:00 and 17:00.
