'Artkommunalka' is a museum that recreates the atmosphere of Soviet Kolomna in the 1960s. It is located in the city center in the house where the writer Venedikt Erofeev once worked. It was here that he tried to obtain a higher education. The museum hosts art residencies for artists and writers who live here and create new art and literature. Over the course of a year five artists and two writers from Russia and Europe live here. Visitors are invited to try traditional Soviet dishes and sherbet ice cream. In the courtyard you can sit on wooden benches and play dominoes or lotto. The project is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Moscow Region and the Autonomous Non-Commercial Partnership 'Kolomensky Posad'. In the museum Venedikt Erofeev became the genius loci, conveying to us the dissident spirit of the Khrushchev Thaw.
