In 1990 the Vladimir-Suzdal Museum-Reserve opened a permanent exhibition “In the World of Animals” in the city of Vladimir, which in 1997 was renamed “Native Nature”. At the end of 2008 a new Museum of Nature was opened after extensive renovation and exhibition work. Here visitors can become acquainted with the animal and plant life of the Vladimir region. The museum uses a non-traditional method of arranging the exhibition, where museum objects serve as illustrations of natural patterns. Visitors can experience a sense of immersion in nature — a journey that lasts from a year to an hour.
