Bronnitsy City History Museum
About museum
In present-day Bronnitsy, until 1986 there was no museum where one could learn about the history of the uyezd, the history of the town and its inhabitants. An initiative group was then formed to revive the museum, and in 1988 the Bronnitsy City Council decided to establish a museum. Members of the Public Museum Council collected exhibits, carried out educational activities and gathered information from archives. In 1998 a decree by the head of the town was issued to regulate the museum's work, and I. A. Slivka was appointed director. The museum houses a rich academic library, and the traditions laid down during the revival period have been preserved and expanded to suit modern realities.
