About museum
In 1983, at the initiative of Honored Cultural Worker of the Russian Federation Aydak A.P., the Museum of the 19th-Century Chuvash Peasant Household was founded. In 1993 it was awarded the honorary title 'People's'. On one hectare of land the museum represents a complete peasant homestead, where all work is carried out in the traditional way, from sowing rye and flax to baking bread and weaving. Beer is also brewed here in the traditional manner in a specially built facility. All seasonal farm tasks and festivals are held in accordance with the folk calendar.
