Museum 'World of Forgotten Things'
About museum
In May 1991 the museum was opened in a wooden mansion dating from the mid-19th century. It consists of two exhibition sections. On the first floor visitors can take a virtual journey into the pre-revolutionary era and the world of forgotten objects. Interiors from the 19th to the early 20th century are recreated here, and on the second floor there is an exhibition of portraits of the Vologda Governorate. The museum hosts events such as literary and musical evenings and children's celebrations. Descendants of the nobility often come to the museum to honor family traditions. On the third floor relics from family collections and archives are displayed.
