About museum

The M. N. Mordasova Museum is located in Voronezh; it was opened in the apartment where People's Artist of the USSR and Hero of Socialist Labor Maria Nikolaevna Mordasova and her husband Ivan Mikhailovich Rudenko lived from 1958 to 1997. The museum's exhibition includes household items, concert costumes, letters, photographs, documents, musical instruments, as well as a complete collection of Maria Mordasova's original chastushki. Visitors can also watch films and television programs featuring her. Folklore programs are held here, inviting visitors to learn about Russian customs and traditions, as well as folk ensembles of the Voronezh region. The museum has been a structural subdivision of the I. S. Nikitin Museum since 2005. It is a wonderful place to get acquainted with the life and work of Maria Mordasova.
