V. P. Glushko Museum of Cosmonautics and Rocket Technology
About museum
On a 1,000 m² area the museum houses exhibits dedicated to the history of Soviet cosmonautics and rocket technology. It features authentic personal accounts of GDL employees and unique designs by their engineers. The display cases contain documents, photographs and models of aircraft, rockets and engines. The museum halls are adorned with models of the first artificial satellite, the Vostok spacecraft flown by Yuri A. Gagarin and Valentina V. Tereshkova, as well as the International Space Station. At the museum entrance there is the descent module of the topographic satellite 'Kometa'. The museum hosts guided tours, exhibitions, lectures, concerts and festivals. Use of photographic equipment is permitted.
