About museum

Aviamotornaya metro station, just 10 minutes from Moscow, offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in the life of the world's peoples at the Museum of Nomadic Culture. Here you can visit a northern chum (a traditional tent) or a desert nomads' yurt, watch the host transform into a Native American warrior or a Chukchi hunter, listen to songs and tales accompanied by the sounds of the morin khuur and the dombra, play traditional games, solve riddles, and sharpen your wits. All collections are displayed in authentic nomadic dwellings, and you can touch all the exhibits.
