Museum of Fine Arts
About museum
The Museum of Fine Arts was established in 1992. Its collections are based on the holdings of Vera Borisovna Gorodilina, which included works by well-known Alapaevsk artists. The museum brings together amateur and professional artists, photographers, and masters of decorative and applied arts from the town and district. Today it possesses a rich collection of artworks. These works are a valuable legacy for future generations, as they provide material that tells the story of Alapaevsk's development. Visitors can learn about the work of renowned artists — V. V. Shishov, the founder of the Alapaevsk school of painting and a soldier of the First World War; V. V. Zimin, a graduate of the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts who died during the Great Patriotic War; V. B. Gorodilina, an academician of the Demidov Academy of Arts and Artistic Crafts; and others.
