The Museum of the History of the Poltavskaya Stanitsa was opened in 1998 in a one-story building constructed more than one hundred years ago. It is housed in five halls, with a sixth hall reserved for exhibitions. Beginning with the ancient world of the Kuban, visitors can take an interesting tour of the museum. The archaeology hall contains exhibits reflecting the antiquity and medieval periods of the Krasnoarmeysky District. The second hall presents the history of the settlement and development of the Poltavskaya Stanitsa, as well as items of ethnography, numismatics, books, applied arts, furniture and clothing. The third hall is devoted to the history of the district's culture and notable creative figures. The fourth hall is dedicated to the Great Patriotic War, and the fifth to the postwar history of the Krasnoarmeysky District and the Poltavskaya Stanitsa: reconstruction of the economy, heroes of Afghanistan and Chechnya, participants in the liquidation of the Chernobyl disaster, and the history of the development of the veterans' movement in the district. The museum provides visitors with rich material for studying the history of this district.
