Museum of the History of Sabinsky Forestry
About museum
In 2003 a decision was made to establish the Museum of the History of Sabinsky Forestry, which officially opened on March 24, 2004, at the initiative of forestry veterans. The museum building is the forester's house of the Third Forestry District, belonging to Mitrofan Nikolaevich Lomakin, built in 1874. The museum features sections dedicated to the history of the development of Sabinsky Forestry, the local wildlife, and an art gallery. In 2004 repair and finishing works were carried out on the museum building and an additional exhibition was created. At present the museum's collection comprises 859 storage units.
