The Museum of the History of Yaroslavl is located in a rather substantial late 19th-century merchant's estate that belonged to merchant V. Ya. Kuznetsov. The museum consists of two branches — the N. A. Nuzhin City Exhibition Hall and the Memorial House-Museum of Maxim Bogdanovich. The museum presents the history of the old city on the Volga in accordance with the concept "Yaroslavl in the history of Russia. The person in the history of Yaroslavl." The museum offers guided tours of the exhibitions "History of Yaroslavl", "From the history of Yaroslavl medicine", as well as overview tours of the city. The museum offers numerous museum programs, such as "Visiting the Kuznetsov Merchants", "Yaroslavl-style Matchmaking", "We invite you to the Ball", "Games and Amusements of Townspeople", "Initiation into Yaroslavichi", "Birthday at the Museum" and "The Young Are Welcome Everywhere with Us".
