About museum
The Salamandra society building currently houses the Representative Office of the State Hermitage for the Siberian Federal District. The building was constructed in 1913–1914 to a design by the well‑known capital architect‑artist N. N. Verevkin in the neoclassical style. It is ideally suited to its purpose because it demonstrates a cultured sense of proportion, the logic of architectural thought, and the author's skillful use of the natural terrain. The Representative Office of the State Hermitage for the Siberian Federal District attracts many visitors who can enjoy all the charms of architecture and art.
