About museum
At present, the building of the "Salamandra" society houses the Representative Office of the State Hermitage for the Siberian Federal District. This building was constructed in 1913–1914 to a design by the well‑known architect‑artist from the capital, N. N. Verevkin, in the neoclassical style. It is perfectly suited to its purpose because it is distinguished by a cultured sense of proportion, the logic of architectural thought, and the author's skillful use of the natural terrain. The Representative Office of the State Hermitage for the Siberian Federal District attracts many visitors who can enjoy all the charms of architecture and art.
