About museum
Documents, mementos, weapons, original photographs and works of art related to the breakout are presented here. The museum conducts practical classes for schoolchildren and students.
In 2009, at the initiative of the director of the Khmelita Museum-Reserve, V. E. Kulakov, the Memorial in Memory of the Soldiers of the Western and Reserve Fronts 'Bogoroditskoye Field' was ceremonially opened near the village of Bogoroditskoye. The memorial includes the 'Bogoroditskoye Field' museum, which began its work in 2013. The museum is a structural subdivision of the Khmelita Museum-Reserve and presents an exhibition dedicated to the heroic breakout of the troops from encirclement in October 1941. The museum is located in the restored wing of the former noble estate and displays documents, mementos, weapons, photographs and works of art. Practical classes for schoolchildren and students are also held here. The memorial is rightly considered one of the main monuments of the Great Patriotic War.
