Grigori Rasputin Museum
About museum
For the memory of him, the first private Rasputin museum was opened in the village — a place where you can learn more about his life and work.
In 1990 the Smirnovs founded the first private museum in the village of Pokrovskoye (84th kilometre of the Tobolsk tract). This place has a rich history, since it is the site of the "Russian Golgotha" and it was also the stop where the minibus that carried N. A. Romanov and his family passed. But the most famous native of this village is Grigori Rasputin. In his memory a museum was opened where you can learn more about his life and work. Visiting this place provides a wealth of useful information about Rasputin and the history of this region.
